Koni Yellows

They are what I bought for mine, i found them pretty hard to fit until we just jacked them up to the car to get the top nut on. I think this was due to the new firm bushes they come with.

If you search on Clio trophy it tells you the order to put the bushes/washes on.

Had the same problem when I fitted them to my Trophy but the shitty instructions weren't the clearest either.

Useful, thanks again Mike. I believe you should use some parts off the original dampers when setting them up too.

I ordered myself some of these earlier today too :)

However, if you order the full "kit" (still using Yellows) you get springs too, which I read somewhere, are supplied by H&R, and it only costs £20 more. Even if you don't want to use those springs you can sell them on :)

From memory, fitment for the rears is:

White plastic washer
Dust cover - the only bit you reuse IIRC
Small thick metal washer
Large metal washer (the flatter one)
Circular based rubber (flat face up)

Then push it up to the car

Then fit the other, more cone shaped rubber flat face down
Large metal washer
Nut

So the only bit you take from the old dampers are the dust cover. I think that's what I did.

I found the cliotrophy guide but some of the pictures are down now.

Rear Sachs are unsalvageable

Just ordered the two rear Konis from Larkspeed. Lifetime warranty sold it for me.

Koni don't do 182 front shocks - just 172. If your car has the same fitment as a 172 then you'll be fine. I don't know if non cup-packed 182s have the same fitment as 172s though.

They're a bit of a pain to fit if you've never fitted them before. It's case of getting all fittings in the correct order. Don't do what I did, open the pack of fittings and drop the tiny metal circlips on the floor. Took me ages to find them afterwards lol.

  182
54mm is what they do which is 172 ,172cup and 182 non cup/packed fitment.

So they will fit mine perfectly. Its the 60mm bolt spacing (182 cup/packed) they don't do

I'm struggling getting one of the dust covers over the piston, it seems too small inside to slide over it. Any ideas?

Edited for Turbo.

They fit 172, 172 cups and non-cup 182s. Won't fit 182 cups and trophies. Bolt spacing is different, hence they won't fit. Hope that helps.
