got my splitter through from ktec today - me and a mate bought one each so extra discount :)

however it comes with the 9 screws needed to fit, are they actually strong enought to withold the bumps/vibration in road etc and are they actually only held on by the screws screwed up into the bumper??

fair enough ill just get them screwed into the bumper then. hope to get pics up when fitted soon.

Mine's just arrived - stoopid question I know, but before I drill anything, the side of the splitter with the U-shaped cut-outs in the top bit that screws into the bumper isn't it? :o

Don't wanna be the first plank on CS to mount it updide down!

Riveting is prob easier than lying under the car for half an hour in the rain with self tapping screws and lots of electrical tape...

I got the bodyshop man to put mine on while it was in...took him 2 hours!

Bullshit, job done in 45mins on me tod.

1. Drill 9 holes (4mm drill), one between each cutout and two at each corner. I used a tab of masking tape in each place to avoid any splintering.

2. Jack up one side of the car and axle stand

3. Lie under the front, offer up the splitter and clip or tape in place. I used clothes pegs since the washing line was the nearest thing to me :)

4. Make sure the the splitter is lined up correctly from the front and drill up through the splitter holes into the underside of the bumper - 2mm bit - and insert screw. I started in the middle and and worked my way to one side. Just keep checking that it's all still lined up at each stage.

5. Jack down and jack up other side of the car (my drill was too long to fit under the bumper on the non-jacked side, check alignment and repeat 4.

The most amazing, yeah, sexy new carbon fibre splitter......... Done.

See if K-tec have any Grade B ones left mate. £80 posted and I can't tell it's substandard at all.
