KTEC sports cat

Has anyone actually bought one of these yet? If so whats the fit like and the quality? I have a Janspeed de-cat (not on car yet) but after reading some of the threads think I might as well spend the extra and get a sports cat.

sports CAT is a good way of passing your MOT and getting some performance gains

I know a lad that has one and he says it deffo feels quicker, but not been on the rollers to confirm...

Rich, I bought a janspeed de-cat but havent fitted it yet, im seriously considering the Sports Cat instead. Is there a way for me to get the Cliosport discount when ordering online?



Finally bit the bullet and ordered a Magnex 3.5" twin this morning, so I might as well order sports cat and get em fitting at same time!

How much (de-cat) & where from?!

Theres also 2 sports cats as far as I can see, the K-Tec one and a Janspeed one.

what Gains can you expect from sports CAT & Hidden exhaust?? 177-179bhp... Ktec say its supposed to have the same power gains as their 179bhp non hidden system. at another 7-8bhp thats got to be another 10ft of torque.

Dont know about the performance increase. If I gain 5 horses and a quality exhaust, Ill be happy!!

Bought it 2nd hand matey...

Its a single round tailpipe which I wanted, but its 4" so may be too big for my liking and I might end up getting it swapped to a smaller one.

Yeah looks nice, I have emailed MSW about the Sports cat. Did you read what Janspeed said? interesting, I think im just going to order the MSW one and see what comes!

was considering the k-tec cat as well but im getting my ecu first.youll have to post what you think of it when its fitted.

Got it already (sat in the garden shed at the mo) and it does look big, but I will reserve judgement until its fitted.

If its too big then Ill get the tailpipe swapped!

Yeah, if Janspeed are telling you to go to K-Tec, then where are the ones MSW are selling coming from?!

Just order the MSW one, or ring them and see what they say...

ive heard if you do all the exhaust and inlet mods the ecu works well.going to get the ecu and inlet manifold at the same time from hillpower.

You defo going for Sports cat then, no de-cat?? Since your exhaust warrenty only lasts a year surely if you replace your CAT with a Sports CAT ("direct replacement") Renault cant really say anything about warrenty issues, i.e like when you get a cat back exhaust they are perfectly fine about them and warrenty...

thats if its definitely that part number, however this seems to have been confirmed that it is, from Janspeed
