mine has definetly got louder in the last five days!
i thought it was supposed to get quieter, i was also told that once the carbon content increases the noise reduces. i think they mean the opposite.
i may be removing it soon and going back to the standard system.

Every customer we have fitted one of these for has been more than happy with the sound. We even have one on our 172 courtesy car and we get nothing but praise for the sound the exhaust makes and the last customer to comment was in his 60s and he does have very good hearing before anyone comments 
Devil, your straight through decat pipe will not help as this basically removed one of the silencers from the system.
Iain, you have a PM as I am suprised to read comment s considering we have sent you a brand new exhaust to replace the mk1 version of the stealth you were having problems with.

David, yes that decat is bloody loud. just seems to have got louder today for some reason!

Any decat, whether silencer or straight through, is going to increase the exhaust sound level.

i will do.am fitting it straight after work tomorrow so will do a vid on the weekend. anyone know if ktec deliver these next day cos the guy sed he'd do his best to get it out to me tomos but could be sat i supose...

Thank you for all the positive feedback on the sound of the exhaust. Over the next week I will try and get a video clip as well as some db reading from our172 that is standard apart from the stealth exhaust system.

Fitted mine yesterday and im very pleased with the noise. It gives you the sound when you want it.
The fitted has left it visible from the back though so hopefully I can raise it another inch.

yes, you can get the exhaust tucked way like the original, just loosen the rear silencer clamp and the clamp that connects the rear section to the middle section and re-adjust.

i have just fitted mine and can still see the bottom inch&half of the bb showing - il have to do the same and readjust the clamps. the sound is superb tho...(guessin the decat is adding to the throatiness)

Aye re-adjust the clamps. Don't put it too high though. Both me and beefmeister have knocking in the twisties now. Think its the heatshield so i'll get it garaged later on.

yeh i can see there is pleanty of room above the box but its the piping after the centre section which is already quite tight - the exhaust obviously expands as it heats up also so gotta leave a little bit of a gap. i ended up having to cut the old exhaust as even with the beam dropped as low as i could get it using axle stands it wouldnt come out!

Was too boomy for my taste. The sports cat fitted at the same time did increase resonance though I expect (I did'nt realise this before hand). I don't hold this against you though! The whole system was well fitted, and it did sound the nuts when gunning it.

this is what mine sounds like, please put your volume up as high as it goes, you will then get a true feel of a ktec stealth and a ktec decat

The middle section has packed up though (after the video was made), ktec will get janspeed to replace it, will have to see how good ktecs customer service is on this.

not sure if it is just me but that exhaust stench can be smelt everywhere, even if i am 100 miles away, must be stuck to my clothes. mind you i like the smell (i'm weird)
