Ktec Throttle Bodies and Gen90

I have been thinking of fitting some throttle bodies to the track car.
I like the look of the Ktec kit as everything is in one package, also like the ECU as I really hate wires lol,
is it really as simple as unplug the standard ECU and plug into the Gen90?

I have my airbag lights turned off with CLIP but what happens when this ECU is fitted, do they still stay off?
Is there anywhere in the west Midlands that can map these ECU's, I know RS Tuning can but they are quite a long way away from me and also EFI Parts can (they are closer) but is there anyone else?

When fitting the bodies and the inlet manifold gets removed what happens to the breather hole in the top of the cam cover? (where the egg shaped gasket normally is)

I think it's a good kit, it's easy to fit and setup. I had a but of help over the phone from Sean at ktec and it ran well enough to drive to mapping.

If you buy the kit with the software and key/dongle you can take it anywhere to map it. I put the software on my laptop and gave my mapper the car and laptop for the day.

I bought a 25mm silicon blanking end and just popped that on the top. I think the other end of that breather plate was 16mm.

Thanks Tom
So you brought the "kit" bodies and ECU and it came with the dongle and software or was that extra?
Phase 1 is different to the phase 2 isn't it with the breather, the p2 has a 1mm ish hole and the p1 has some sort of plug am I right?

I bought the kit, the software and dongle was about £150 extra.

Not sure on the breather on the ph2!

As for aircon I'm sure I've seen itbs with aircon. It might be the at power ones though.

A/C I am not that fussed about tbh but if it could be kept all the better.

I had a email today with the breakdown of the prices the kit with ECU is £2338.8 + £178.8 for the software bundle (total £2517.6),
but if I brought the kit without the ECU and brought the ECU with the software bundle separate it works out to £2392.8
same applies if I brought it without the software bundle the total then is £2272.8

They feel worth it when you're 'on it' on track or having a good drive on some epic roads.

I would however recommend fitting a pair of piper 285 or catcams 421 at the same time to really make the most of them.

If you take it to get mapped by someone that specialises in Renaultsport they should have the software to map it so you don't need it or the dongle.

I too would love a set of cams too but as my car has just had the dephaser and cam belt done about 200 miles ago so can't justify it.

Cams would not be a option atm as it would add about £1k
IMO that's where most of the gains come from as the majority of ITB users have cams as well.
A cheaper option for you would be to fit the RS2 inlet manifold and get a remap. On a standard engine the gains are pretty similar if you go to someone like Mike Woodford.

I am only thinking of adding the software to give me options at a later date if I needed as it works out cheaper buying it all together.
I would be taking it to EFI for the map anyway

Can would be a option at a later date as the belts were only done last year anyway.
RS2 is good but ITB's will be better in the long run and the sound
