Ktec ultra sport silenced pops and bangs maybe? SWAP!!!

Hello

Just installed a ktec ultrasport, decat with centre silencer on my 182

Looking at potentially installing a rs tuner or getting it remapped at ktec with over run

With the centre silencer am I going to get any of the pops and crackles? Or is it a case of swapping out the centre silencer for a straight section? Enjoying the sound atm with the decat and middle silencer as it does not drone that much just fancy a little pop page

Or anyone lookin to swap the centre silencer section for a straight through?

No guarantee removing it will give the desired effect. Could certainly try though.
If you really want popping and banging the most effective way is a remap which means you'll have to lose the centre silencer anyway as you'll kill it.
If you go for a remap then make sure you go for the RSTuner route so you can remove it once the lol factor of your car sounding like war has worn off.

For what it's worth, I actually have a Pro Speed pipe on the back of mine and while I have no centre silencer, I left the cat in and it still gurgles a little on the overrun or when cold.

I have the K-tec ultra exhaust with ultra sports cat and straight through pipe and rstuner 98 ron map , if you get it right it pops on the up change and on the down change (helped with a blip on the throttle)

So i would say if you changed the centre section and just put the 98 ron map on and not the other it would pop and gurgle like a nutter. The pops and bangs remap only works above 4k rpm so will look like a prize tit with that on plus it can cause damage over time.

Now i'm not one for slating companies nor start a row as most of these threads go that way, but have a search on the forum about k-tec!! their mapping is so bad its been causing huge problems amongst members on here and would highly advise to steer clear of k-tec and their mapping if you want your car to work and not eat itself

I like the tone and volume of the exhaust and after driving 50 miles yesterday and today on the motorway I wouldnt want it any louder! Just would like a little gurgle!

A good question would be.. did the exhaust gurgle/note change at all after the remap? Compared to the factory map?

I'm quite keen on the rs tuner just figuring the out the best route to go price wise at the moment!

my ph2 has nothing centre silencer n it does it unfortunatly

its only excess fuel hitting the ridiculously hot zaust and combusting

I just know with the straight through section you can get it will be crazy loud with the decat

Wouldn't be too bad when giving it some but any other time on the motorway it will drone like crazy
