Lack of Power Steering on DCI

could be faulty sensor on the rack

How do I test it?

Also have an up to date Snap-on Scanner but for some reason it wont read the car... could this mean the ECU is faulty?

Nope does not mean the ecu is faulty. Could more than likely be the sensor on the steering rack maybe worth getting it to a garage.

well, it's electric power steering, the sensor sees movement in the rack and the electric assistance (motor around the column) kicks in
