Laptop crashing when wireless switched on

I've got a laptop and today it started randomly crashing.

now it only seemed to do it when the wireless internet was switched on
it has a built in intel 2200bg wireless minipci card in it, on the laptop keyboard is a switch to turn wireless off, if i switch this off the laptop will run fine

as son as i switch it on it will be ok for a few mins and then just crash. couple of the times was as soon as it detected a wireless network and connected, other time sits been within a few mins of browsing the net.

ive done a system recovery and wiped the computer and its still the same

anyway i removed the wireless mpci card, and the laptop works fine even with the wireless option switched on.

does this sound like its the wireless card thats playing up? hoping to borrow the one out my sisters laptop this weekend to try that and see if it does the same still.
