Laptop, I do have a Desktop sat in a corner but it's remotely run from the laptop nowadays to backup files from the laptop and copy back over ones I'm working on or need.

( and.. I've just spoilt the 50/50 voting split on the poll :p )

I couldn't really vote.

I have a laptop but I keep it fixed in the same spot and I only really have one to save space. For the money it offers poor performance in gaming terms compared to a desktop of the same price. The desktop is more comfortable to use too. If I sort out the space issue I will go back to a desktop.

Although I have both I only ever use my laptop. My laptop is 18 months old now and still runs like a dream.
I don't play games anymore (have a Xbox 360 for that) so a laptop is ideal. Can't even remember the last time I switched my desktop on!

I wish work would give me a laptop though, got an old desktop which means I can't really take work home with me etc.

A laptop with a docking station at work would be ideal.

Desktop, hands down.

Laptops are the future, but they just annoy me. Too fragile, too heavy when they are some use, too light when they have sod-all battery life. And they are stupid money compared to their desktop counterparts.

Increasingly getting like the next 'must-haves' by the same people who swap their bloody mobiles every three weeks. Thank GOD mobiles don't come under my remit at work. I'd be up for manslaughter within the week...

"Why has he got that one? Can I have the same?"

"Can I have the new Motorola SPAKR?"

"How do I get MP3's on here?"

"Does this Nokia support Facebook?"

Bloody toys for school-kids - I tell thee! ;)

Neither - Mac everytime, no virus issues (in comparison), quicker, better functionality and you don't have to put up with constant updates that slow your machine down even further.

Fecked off using microsoft stuff!

I don't think I've ever been on a Mac where there has never been any updates? :rasp:

constant doesn't mean never... currently microsoft seem to be releasing an update a week at the moment - XP service pack 3 has just come out to top it all!
