Laser Detectors

Right folks, the time has come for me to get one. What i want is to know which u guys think is best so i want u to just STATE THE NAME OF THE ONE U THINK IS BEST, nothing else please, JUST THE NAME

  Alfa Mito 155TB

i am going to get an origin B2, i like the built in laser detector...the fact in the summer you can plug in the radar detector, i like it is full gps and if you wanted to dance with the law, you can plug in an lrc jammer for laser guns.

my snooper s6r neo, is great on the GPS side (with ariel stuck on roof)

but the laser side is abit ropey!! - got it mounted behind the "clear" bit on the windscreen - been through 2 laser traps (deliberately to test) and it didnt alarm.

think they need to be as close to the numberplate as possible, cos thats where the old bill aim the laser.

I have a Road Angel.

I have not had any problems with it.

All I would say is for you to way up the subscription as well if you get a GPS reciever. Road Angel After first year lifetime membership is £99.

the laser dectector will only go off if you or someone in front is being targeted if no one is speeding then there will be no laser signals being emmited as only cars seen to be speeding will be targeted as such it is quite possible to drive past a laser gun without the detector going off

i went through one (with my detector ) which was being used to display vehicle speeds via a fook off road side display.

still didnt go off, and I was definately targeted as there was buggar all infront and I was doing 28mph in a 30.

are the traps which indicate your speed all laser then? im doubting mine now as i tried shining a laser measuring device on it and that didnt set it off?(dunno if it shud have done?) althought the other week it did go off in a place i know there is often a mobile unit so maybe its working who knows? is there anyways to test these??

The ones which display your speed on a road side are DS2/TSS which are digital, the Origin B2 has these in its database but the Road Angel doesnt. They wont actually record your speed unless they are teamed with a dibble with either a mobile gatso or hand held laser device.

I drove through one the other week near Banbury and it warned me, I had no idea what it was until I looked up what a DS2 was.

Sooooooooooooo....

which is best and how much does the unit cost? and the subcription?

btw.... yes even my lil 1.4 8v will do over 90 so hush  might not feel safe... but it will still doo it

Jeez, even, bold, yellow and underlined and folks still ignore it.

Origin B2

yeah but as lunner pointed out, all i asked for in the original post was the name of which u think is best.... and so far lunner and craig are the only ones to do it!!! i didnt wanna start a debate! lol

 But i wanted to Hi-Jack the post.

im intrested also, but the thing putting me off is the subscription, ive always thought of them being costly. ??

i think the road angel is either 50 notes for a year or 100 notes for a lifetime subscription.... i know which i would do!!!
