Loving the first picture, I tried to take a picture of mine with the lights on but it just ruined the picture

Loving the first picture, I tried to take a picture of mine with the lights on but it just ruined the picture

What i did was took the picture with the lights off to set the camera up for correct focus (use manual), exposure level, aperture value and shutter speed, then turned the lights on and took the picture again. What camera are you using?
