Layering SRP

Car  Clio 172 Cup
When people say build up a few layers, is that one after another or just over time?

got some new SRP and extra protection and megs #16 wax to apply.

Put it on, let it dry, put more on, let it dry, put more on, let it dry, buff it off.

Will be super strong then.

FFS.

SRP is not a layering product. Egp and waxes are.

SRP is a polish, hence the name Super Resin POLISH. Use this once, then buff off the residue. Then apply thin coat of EGP, wait for it to haze (hour/longer the better), then buff off with a micro fibre. Then add another layer, same method. This can be done anything from 3-6 times.

Tbh, t-cut is what you want. Make sure you use it a few times and put some pressure on the cloth. It's probably the best stuff for building up protection on paintwork.

Any benefits/issues in using a PC to do that bit, m8?

The last lot of EGP I left on for ages and then used the finishing pad with PC. It coped with it very easily, but is it best to do that bit by hand?

Cheers,
D.

Buffing pads, no harm. Don't like doing it as there is the possibility to push too hard and remove the sealent. But a finishing pad still has a minute amount of cut, so could well have taken off your sealent/LSP.

Just get off your arse and use some elbow grease ;)

SRP on a middle-of-the-road pad is awesome stuff. For how little it removes it can make a shed look awesome.

However you can't layer it.
