Leaking Climate Control

  BMW 320d SE
My climate control is leaking water into the cabin!! Both footwells are wet (mainly the driver's side, which is soaked), and the glovebox, which has a puddle in it!
Anyone else had this problem? My carpets are starting to smell a little. The car is booked in at the stealers on Friday, but I'm not holding out much hope!
Oh, it's definitely water, not refrigerant, if that helps.

If your really worried, for a small fee (like 20/30 quid) Kwikfit are doing A/C's now. They maybe able to fix it and/or put your mind at rest. And better yet, you don't need to make an appointment...

Well I thought it was condensation too, but there's far too much water. Then I thought maybe a leaking condensor/heater matrix, but that would smell funny surely?
As for Kwik Fit, I'm really not comfortable taking my car to the worst place in the world, for their "professional" opinion - I'd sooner trust a Pikey. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I'd say it's your A\C leaking mate, next time you go on a drive have the A\C on and when you stop have a look under the car, you should see a water driping from under the engine.

Someone on here the other day had the same problem, it sounds like it's quite common.

drain is blocked by the sounds of it, if no water is coming out at rear of engine when a/c is on its blocked, on a cold/meduim day not much water comes out.

Ah that's probably it then. I don't get any water under the car, so it must be the drain pipe that's blocked. Where is it? Is it easy to get to? Should I bother taking it to Renault on Friday still, to get them to do it?

it think its right at the back over the engine near the bottom and its behind a heatsheid on these i think easier to do on a ramp

Update: I've not been using my climate control for the past couple of days now to avoid soaking my carpets any more than necessary. However, I tried it out on the way to and from work today, and had absolutely no leakage. Got home, got out and checked under the car to see the usual drippage of water onto the driveway as mentioned by others above. So, it would seem whatever was wrong with it last week has possibly cured itself? (crosses fingers  )
I still think I'll let Renault take a look though.

I'd still get Renault to take a look and dry the car out, as well as replace the carpet if necessary.

Well the carpet is nearly dry now. It's not rotted or gotten smelly, so I don't see any need to get it changed.
