leaking oil! could be PAS Pump?

J

its a 1.2 8v w reg, just serviced it the other week so i suspected that but ive jacked it up today and the seal on the oil filter is dry and so is the sump plug. on closer inspection the area all around the PAS pump has oil around it and on the bonnet so this may be running down the engine. since ive had the car i keep topping the PAS fluid up but i suspect i may have put to much in as the bottle is very hard to see. could this cause it to leak more?

all the left side of the engine is oily and so is the chassis and the bottom of the oil filter.

any advice or anything is great

thanks.

What colour is the oil?

PS fluid is very usually red. However most Clios have electric steering, not sure if your cars too early for that or not though...

on the bonnet it seems clear but its dirty on the engine but more than likely this is it collecting dirt on the way down and being burnt by the engine.

heres a pic im sure its the pas pump.

the green circle is the oil which has been flicked on, its also on the bonnet.

the big red circle is the pump (i think) then the little one is where i think its leaking from.

may be worth getting the engine bay steam cleaned then run the engine and see exactly where the oil is leaking from

The red circle is the pas pump they sometimes have rubber seals on the pipes which can perish causing a leak
