Leaking Roof

Hi all, new on here.

Missus just got a 1.2 '03 clio and it has a very! leaky roof. Unsure where it's coming from, haven't had the chance to investigate properly yet, but my first guess would be the sunroof.

Basically wondering if this is a common problem and if so, is there a common fix?

She is having to cover the car every time she leaves it atm so keen to get it sorted asap.

Any advice much appreciated :)

It's very common on the 1.2's i believe. If you open the sunroof, there should be some sort of button to remove the glass, once you've done that you should be able to access the drainage points, which if you're sure it's the roof, then the likelyhood is that these are blocked.

ah sounds simple enough I'll investigate as soon as I can. how would I go about unblocking these drainage points?

Does it leave through the inner roof lining just about the drivers sun visor? Mine does it it collects in the bend in the liking and slowly drips through! Temporary fix is to get a pot of Vaseline and run it along the edge outside on the leaking side. The black rubber seal over time drys out and lifts slightly allowing water to go underneath. It's not gushing in but little drops over a day or so all collecting in the same spot doesn't help. That's the problem I had anyways. Best fit is to strip it all out and fill it full of silicone sealant.
