leaking sunroof(elec) on mk2 clio 1.6 16v (51 reg)

Hi any help on this would be wicked.

Got in my car this morning to notice that the passenger seat had a wet patch on it. I looked up to notice, that by the passenger sun visor (top left hand corner (where your fingers would go to pull it down)) water was dripping through the head line and onto the seat. Can any help me sort this out cos i don't fancy going to Renault to pay though the nose! or Has any got the work shop manual showing a break down of parts for sunroof???. Any help would be wicked.
cheers all

Hey mate,

I work in the call centre for RAC AutoWindscreens. Im in Chesterfield but we cover all the UK as we have branches like ALL over the place. I take a lot of calls for leaking screens/sunroofs... If you ring 0800 919 700 (the main number for RAC AutoWindscreens) then me or one of ma fellow work mates in the call centre will be able to direct you to your local fitting centre. in theory we stopped officially replacing sunroofs.. but i still take a lot of calls for leaks.. your insurance company wont cover you for a leak.. However, if your car is still under warrenty, the dealers or whoever might cover the cost. Basically if you ring us up & arrange to drop it down to be looked at, a technician can either put some sealent on it & do a re-seal for you, or we might be able to order a new trim for the sunroof from the dealer for you & fit it. Would be cheaper though us cos we wont have to pay full dealer prices...

Anyway, hope thats useful for ya :approve:
