Leaving soon to view a cup

  1.8 Corsa Golf pd180
Just about to leave to veiw my first clio cup, its up for a good price and he says front and rear bumpers have been sprayed. what should i look out for and how can i check the mileage is genuine due to no service history???

  Fiesta ST3
possibly check old MOTs online, this will only go back to 2006 i think, but may give you some indication of the mileage through out the years, although not rock solid proof though.

have a look at the condition of the car and see if it has been taken care of and if it reflects the mileage.

hope this helps

Find out why the bumpers have been sprayed for one..
Lack of serive history could be expencive.. Not knowing if the belts have been done etc, but that can work in your favour u can get a few hundred knocked off if they aint been done, personally i wont buy a car with no service history at all...
HPI check for milage etc..

Yeah, the no service history is an issue, it would have to be very cheap for me to consider it! Make sure belts are done and say you need actual proof, if he hasn't got any you need to presume they aint been done. I would want to knock about £600 for that alone. Means you can get belts and a full service done and have a little left from the 600 to sort anything else out!

you aint gonna get anything like £600 off for belts not being done on a 'cup'. it only costs about £250-£300. well ift its a 172 cup neway.

Been to look at it and it wasnt too tidy, offered him 1900 but he sold elsewhere.

Just looking at cups again now, am i right in thinking 3k for one with 83 thousand is too much, im trying to get one around 60k for the most 3100.

For some reason i really want to fit the 182 back box. should i and is it easy to do?

Your talking 4k for a decent one tbh.

Your budget is more suited to a normal 172. Cups hold their money a little better.

Don't even go there with the 182 back box, they look gay anyway.

  172 cup 10/04/10>
i bought my 2003 cup in april, 81k full service history, 10month mot and 4 months tax, intermittent speedo sensor, hadnt had the belts done, and due a service, i got it for £2800, spent 15quid on a sensor from clio spares, and 450 for belts done and full service at nwp.

so in all cost me, £3265, not abad price, parkers guide for an 03 cup was 2500poor and 3900 good.....

thinking of refurbishing the alloys gold, and a k-tec single backbox cut into the bumper

dont do the wheels gold! its not a scooby mate either silver or anthracite if you HAVE to change the colour imo

  172 cup 10/04/10>
its a much darker blue the williams, i plan to do my cup wheels anhracite with yellow calipers, looks boss, common but compliments the black mask in the headlights etc, but each to thet're own!

  PH1 V6
do the wheels anthrecite and the calipers bright yellow mate. that combo look amazing!

very nice cup though... get some eibach sportlines on there and your good to go :)
