LED bulbs faulty...

Hi all,

I fitted some white LED bulbs to the sidelights on my 182, as I didnt like having yellow sidelights with white xenons - it looked odd to me.

When I fitted mine, my friend with a Peugeot 306 GTI-6 fitted the same white sidelights to his car.

Today he told me that one his LED sidelight bulbs had actually melted, and the other LED sidelight only had one side lit up (there are 4 LEDs per sidelight - only 2 were lit up).

I checked mine to discover that one bulb was perfect with all 4 LEDs lit, but on the other side only half the LEDs were lit up (just 2 LEDs lit).

I always thought that LEDs lasted almost forever.

Did we buy the wrong brand - they were £7 or £8 for each pack of 2 bulbs.

Has anyone else had any experiences good or bad regarding LED sidelights?

They are best!!

LEDs are made of plastic, and if fitted too close to the headlight/main beam they can melt from the heat when used for long periods.

i have the same 4 light leds and they melted over time, but for a £5 you cant moan and they look the nuts.
