Adium is my favourite app.
Use it for Jabber and MSN.
Get AdiumBook also - it creates Address Book items so all your contacts show up as their proper name and not their MSN Display name (and, it's all integrated into Mail etc.. then)

Parallels (obviously) and Textmate are two other apps which keep me on a Mac
Pages (iWork) is AWESOME too.. you don't realise until you use it quite a bit how good it is!

I also use "ImageWell" for resizing images on the fly.

Never used parallels. is it like spaces then?
Used Adium from Day 1. Awesome bit of kit... so many things you can do that you normally couldnt with msn.
Synergy... Salling clicker and those kinda play with programs...

Nope, Parallels lets you run Windows in a virtual environment.. but, one feature is Coherence, so it lets you run Windows apps side by side with OSX Apps. Pure genius.

ahh furry muff. tbh though... i have no need or WANT to run windows lol

the load of posh that it is... i hate using it at work... i have about ten windows open and i keep running my mouse down to the bottom right hand corner where i normally have expose setup to show all windows and it does nothing! pmsl

I used to use Cyberduck.. but Transmit seems to quite cool, so may switch.

I ditched Fetch several weeks ago for Transmit, it's a far superior FTP program with a more friendly UI.

Transmit is bloody brilliant, I've been using in conjunction with TextMate (and growl notifications) for yonks - brilliant combination!

Windows sucks big style. Take yesterday at work....

Our current building management system uses a whole load of embedded slaves and a windows master. We had to turn the power off in my office which meant turning off the master computer. When we put the power back on and the machine rebooted it would get to the end of "starting windows", blue screen and then reset (before you could read the bluescreen message!). Brilliant - for no reason whatsoever it buggers itself!

We were replacing it anyway with our new super duper design so it's not a major problem, just meant that there were no lights in any of the rooms that were on the old system, including the toilets! Typically I was desparate to go!

Yup - crazy crazy cheap.
Like I said before, I thought the 2GB I bought at £100 was a bargain - it's half that now!

I downloaded Adium and installed it, so far so good. It's asked if I wish to use Growl, do I?

£90 for the 2gb chip, it was £200 two months ago when I bought my upgrade.

Growl puts "MSN Live" style bubbles into the top right hand corner on events such as user logon, new messages, etc..

Quite a few apps are integrating into Growl now for notifcations.

I installed it, but it's turned off.. as it annoyed me. Main reason I use Adium is because it does exactly what I want - no winks, no dancing things on the screen, no adverts, no "MSN Client" stuff
It's *perfect* I log into my Jabber and MSN accounts and it's all good!

I'm impressed with Adium, nice having MSN and Yahoo logged into the one app.
