This isn't really sticking up for the girls being good drivers but... my boyfriend let me drive his cosworth... once. I thought because my Cup is pretty quick (or so I thought) that i'd be fine. Put it this way, i'm never, ever EVER allowed to drive it ever again. He will also "have to give serious consideration to the use of his future vehicles!". I even went through multiple scenarios - what if you broke your legs and I had to drive you? - What if the insurance was lower with me on it? - What if.....
He had stopped listening by now and grabbed MY keys to take MY Cup for a spin
LOL, I've never driven a cup, so cant comment on how they are to drive. I've been in my mates 172 and compared to the cossie i have driven its like a different beast. IIRC your bf's cossie is quite nicely tuned. So i can imagine it gave you a fright.
Did it come on boost on a bend of something? that caught me out first time i drove one, lol. I just planted my foot, and steered the car, it stuck to the road like s**t on a stick. Your reactions have to be spot on when driving something like a cossie, lol.
I let my mum drive my car all the time. She is a right girl racer though. She has a mondeo ST24, not the best car in the world i know, but she has a K&N IK on it, and a bluefinn Superchip installed, lol
IIRC her first car was an escort RS2000.
I'd let anyone drive my car as long as they were insured though, its only a car at the end of the day.
I dont think i'd let my brother loose in it though when its wet. As i have a BMW so the rear wheel drive can be a bit crazy at times, and he has already written off a few RWD cars from trying to slide them!
