LG 26 Inch HD LCD TV..HELP!

I bought a few weeks ago but the passed few days I have been trying to set up DTV (Digital TeleVision) on it and when I select the option it comes up 'Not Programmed'. When I try to search for channels it just wont find any at all.
What can I or should I do?

Plug the ariel in, then do an auto scan. (its in the setup)

I've tried but it just wont pick up anything.
Could it be something to do with my aerial because its an aerial plugged into the wall (the round small-ish connection) but even when I tried buying an aerial from Curry's and connecting it up it wouldn't pick anything up.

Isnt it something to do with the areas you live in? I cant get freeview in my area either.

Check it doesn't have to aerial inputs, mine does, one digital one analouge (so you can run two different aerials) solved my problem.

There's just one on the back of the tv saying 'Antenna In'. That's the only one I have. I know freeview isn't actually set up in the area but my mates can pick it up through their freeview boxes using aerials they have bought. I tried buying an aerial, it wouldn't pick up ball all. Seems like its pretty wanked to me.
