The light below has appeared today and me not being very clever when it comes to things like this is confused to what it means? Hopefully its nothing major...

Engine management fault. You'll probably find that the car will only be in limp mode/ reduced performance - you wont be going very fast.

Can't say for sure what the problem could be. I was getting this intermittently over a period of months. Renault diagnostic told me it was the pedal box at one point. Eventually got fixed when the throttle body was replaced (throttle body was first cleaned but didn't fix it).

They took my pants down £500 for the priviledge :dapprove:

Electrical fault somewhere, common one is the throttle pedal got damp and needs replacing at about £60. Other common one is throttle body as mentioned

Im getting this problem.

The clio keeps going into limp mode when i accelorate, making it very hard to grt anywhere!

When i rev the car up to the limiter the revs wont drop back down as normal, they slowly fall down as if the butterfly is sticking in the TB.

I had it all apart and cleaned everything but its still got the fault.

Any other suggestions other than renault?

That sounds like either a minor air leak or incorrect timing.

Air leak? Ah you have just put my mind to rest!

Had the top inlet off at the weekend to change leads and noticed the inlet gasket thing was knackered so i had to bodge it with instant gasket until i get a new gasket.

Ordered one on sat morning and it will be in renault tomorrow.

Do you know if it will harm anything else driving it as it is just now?

Thanks.

I've now got this displayed on my dash and when I had code reader it mention somethink about throttle position I think . Would this prevent. The car from starting ?
