Sudden misfire!

My 172 Cup has been running as nature intended recently. This morning I made the 1km drive to my foot doctor as I didn't know if I'd make the walk back (I'm fine). I just driven back and the car feels like it's got a misfire. Wait! What? Why? No lights on the dash came on and it has done a few short runs from cold over the past few weeks without issue. I'm hoping it'll drive fine in an hour but what could cause this? It's fully serviced etc etc dosh etc so unless something has gone pop or come loose I'm stumped. Again!

(Disclaimer: I still love my Cup)

I’ve had to abandon it at home and take an Uber. I just joined the RAC a few weeks back so should I have them have a look in the morning?

Sure i've still got an iCarsoft i907 code reader somewhere.

You can have it if you want, if i can find it.
That could be a life saver in the future… if not a pound saver! I’m slowly renewing bits in this car to make it totally reliable, for a Clio, and avoid issues like these. I have fuel pump, coil packs and leads in the next batch of items to do.

I’ll send a pm with my address. Thanks.

My mate has this. Will it be compatible and if so where does it plug in?
