LIGHTS ON DASH AGAIN!!!!

driving along doing approx 77mph the SERV and ABS light just pop on never even touched the brakes!!! any ideas??

Few Qs

1. Are they still on now? (lights)
2. Have they come on before or is this the first time?
3. Assuming the brakes are still okay??

Could be quite a few things really hard to diagnose

possible abs ring on ya driveshaft, i had 1 in work last week for the same problem which you have, the abs ring was cracked/split so it was new driveshft time as you cannot buy the rings seperatly!

they've gone out now, my coil light and engine managment light came on sunday there, i read that if there was any water in or arround the spark plugs this could cause it to come on and as its happened twice in the rain and once when i washed it i put it down to the fact i dont have an engine cover on and this happened, its a right pain in the ar*e as i'am scared to go far incase it blows up

wel take you plugs out make sure they r dry/scaled up!

another problem with the 1.2 16v which causes the dash to light up like a crimbo tree is the black cover at the back of the engine which covers the injection loom plug. removes this and see if ur wires are all eaten up, if they r u could attempt to repair them or get a new loom, another very common problemo.

wel yea the lights will go out when slowing down because the signal from the abs ring can be read at lower speeds even if its cracked, when going faster the signal cannot be read which is chucking your abs/serv light on

yeah mate noticed that last week when looking around the engine the black metal cover was actually off and rattling about, better get some money i suppose
