Lightweight Subs/boxes?

  172 cup TT
Hi all... Have a cup and its all about the weight... but i also love my music and have pretty good quality components and a single good diamond audio sub.... obviously mindful that the sub+box weighs a bit.. but its caused me no probs on the roads what so ever! they actually weigh about 11kg's..

Was wondering if there is such a thing as a lightweight sub box?.. say fibreglass, plastic or something... may save 8 or so Kilo's dunno... Any thoughts? Maybe the sound quality would be poor as opposed to MDF..

thanks

Lots of people mould fibreglass round the rear wheel arches so it can be done, never heard one personally so can't comment on sound quality!??!?!
