Limited Power?

When i start my car from cold, it appears down on power (or relucant to rev) ive read about this 'cold map' on the Ph3 Clio's, but i run a 2004 Ph2..

There all like this standard, why would you want a lot of power from cold? Thrashing it from cold will end up killing your engine

It's limited until it gets up to running temp. to prevent damage.

Limited to 5.7k until the oil temp is around 50c

I often nip out during my lunch break, and dont have long, so have to be quick, hence the eagerness..

I understand your annoyance, it's actually embarassing driving it when cold.
