limiter

can any body help, my speed limiter cuts in about 5.200rpm is this a factory setting or have i got a fault.
my car is a 172.

is the car fully warmed up??

7200 in 1st nd and 3rd when fully warmed up, take it to your dealer for a dignostic as youve got a problem. does the shift light come on on your dash?

^Echo that! But even then should rev to 5.8-6.2 Dependin on Gear. Then 7.2 when warmed. Or 8k in mine! From cold!!! lol

dont even try revvin to that when cold, thats just silly, 95 of engine damage is done when the engine is cold, helce it changing where limit is.

My CTR doesnt engage VTEC on a cold engine... tried it once its like driving a normal car! lol
