link desktop to laptop

Can this be done?

Basically i have an old piece of s**t desktop pc, and the monitor is fucked, so can i just link the desktop to the laptop, and access whats on the desktop pc through my laptop lol

and if so, how?

Best way is to enable remote services on the desktop, then use a program called mstsc to connect. However you will need a monitor to allow remote services in the first place....
Also this all depends on you running XP or later....

well i'm running xp, so i cant just link them up to each other? i thought it all sounded to easy in my head lol, like i said my monitors goosed so thats a bit of a problem then
