Linux C++ software

If anyone on here has got some freeware c++ programming software for ubuntu could you please upload it?

Im at college and cant download anything through the proxy.

Goto the add/remove tab and look under programming. I'm sure they list some software for c++ that you can install from there.

I'm at work so cant look atm.

yer it does, but that still has to go through the proxy to download them...

Most distro's come with gcc compiler no ?

type gcc or g++ at the command prompt.

Sounds like its installed then.. just you didnt specify any .c files to build.
