Linux GUI?

Which do you prefer?

A while ago I used KDE and since installing ubuntu and fedora 9 it's using gnome.

On both ubuntu and fedora gnone has completely fucked up already (i've only had it installed a couple of days) and i've had to yum removegroup "gnome" and reinstall it again. It would not even loadup the desktop and i've not fucked around with any appearance settings.

Is there a better gui?

Some i've google'd. Anyone know anything about them?

*Gnome
*KDE
*Enlightenment
*Fuxbox
*IceWM
*XFCE
*Window Maker
*GNUStep

GNOME is about the most complete.

XFCE is also good.. but largely GNOME based.

KDE is very complete, but ugly.. functional though.

Enlightenment has been in development (at the same level) for 10 years+ now, and it still looks the same as it did back then to me.

WindowsMaker, GNUStep aren't probably what you're looking for.. they're not desktop environments.

I like and use Gnome on my desktop systems, although i'm equally at home using KDE, XFCE, Fluxbox etc.
