Little lines (scratches)

Just noticed my car in the sun, and there are a number of lines (micro scratches) in the paintwork, that I believe I have put there by washing and polishing it over the weekend.

I was ever so careful, used good quality microfibre cloths, Megs wash mit with the 2 bucket method!!

how else can i prevent these micro scratches??? cheers guys

Black gold is a right nightmare. As careful as I am it still picks up minor mars even when doing an Gilmour pre foam, 2 bucket method and MF's to dry.

Using and Aquagleam and letting the water drip dry has improved things slightly as I think drying is the main cause of the marks.

mines a arse aswell and i only have the pearl nightmare !!!

It sounds to me like something you used removed a substance that was hiding the swirls.

i need a mega dry day to clean it and get it sorted
