Hi, New campus, anyone know how to open and lock drivers door with manual key. I can open passengers door with key and pull leaver to open drivers door. How the F*** can i lock the drivers door is this a fault there is nothing in the handback about using manual key.:S

Thanks I do that. But how do I lock the drivers door when I get out of car do I , I have to use the blip key to lock this

yeh, you have to use the blip key. i think the only way you can lock the drivers door without using the remote is to close the door, go round the the passenger door, use the button on the dash then lock the passenger door manually. thats a lot of hastle just so you dont have to use the remote.
Thanks for that . Now the letter to renault, about the poor design locking system, and how good my new corsa is with 2 blip keys and lock on drivers side if needed:approve: , are all clios like that.

Not sure how it's poor design tbh. Sure, they could've moved it to the right-hand side for the UK market, but it's only designed as a backup system incase the batteries dead or something so why bother?. Why would you want to lock/unlock it manually anyway? You're not activating the alarm or immobiliser by locking it manually.
Oh and you also get two "blip" keys with any new Renault too, as you do with any car, so not sure what that has got to do with anything. :S
But hey, have fun writing your letter to Renault, I'm sure they'll have fun reading it!

im fairly sure most mk2 models are like that yes. there are a few other things as well. you will notice the map reading light and bonet release are also on the 'wrong' side. the wipers go the wrong way also.
at the end of the day, it was probably just a cost saving measure. why make two sets of doors when you can make one. i very much doubt you will ever have to open the door manually anyway, but i see your point. it will be inconvenient if it does ever happen.

I take you points But in the unliky event should I loose my blip key, and have to use the manual key it means that I would have to go into the traffic side of the road to open the doors than to secure the doors.
Ps only got one blip key from Arnould.. Said it would cost £150 for second one! key facts sheet said optional extra blip key £20.:dapprove:
