Locking nuts don't fit?

I've bought two sets of these now, one was off a Megane and didn't fit so I sold them. These are off a Scenic and are too big as well, but I thought Scenics had the same fitment.

It's the bolt itself that's a little bit too wide to go into the hub.

Is it just that they are the wrong size, or am I missing something here?

it sounds like the bolt is size m14 and not m12.
the correct bolt size is m12 x 1.5 (1.5mm distance between each thread)
