Any ideas how to go about this for somebody who pretty much has a mechanical limit of changing a wheel, air filter or topping up oil?
I've been given a few places that can do the work on my gearbox, but obviously it needs to come out, be sent off, then be re-fitted again. The chances of that happening by myself are less than zero. How do people who aren't confident of doing that work go about getting that all sorted? I guess I need to find a garage (local-ish) who can remove it, send it off, hang on to my car for a few days then re-fit it. I also want my cambelt, dephaser etc done, so looking at a fairly hefty/expensive amount of work for a place willing to take it on.
I'm in Wiltshire so somewhere remotely local would be useful, the car still runs (potentially without 5th) but I don't want to be driving too far.
