ha i was just flicking through my d2x manual which im pretty sure is the first time i have looked at it lol, a bit in the warnings....

When using the viewfinder
When operating the diopter adjustment control with your eye to the viewfinder care should be taken to not insert finger in to your eye....

thing is on the d2x the diopter adjustment isnt next to the eye piece on most cameras its on the side of the viewfinder body... i fail to see how its even possible... but it made me laugh anyway lol.

I read that on my D40 and made me laugh however I suppose it's possible on mine.

Btw, I've never read through my paper manual or any other papers that came with the D40, besides the warranty (keeps them in mint condition if I sell on), nowadays if I need to nosy, I just go looking for the pdf version
