LOL @ Renno - Idling problem

Had the beast in to reno today for a problem that came on a couple of weeks back. The car isnt ticking over right, sounds like its struggling sometimes, theres also a a mean flat spot right at the bottom of the revs.

They had it all day and when I went to collect it (get ready for the big surprise) they souldnt find a fault. So *Apparently* the throttle body intake was cleaned (??) and that should cure it.

Started the car up when I got in tonight and the car is EXACTLY the same. Looks like jonnyboys just got on the reno service merry go round Gonna book it back in again till they sort it.

Had the same with mine after they overfilled it with oil. Asked for them to clean the engine breather for me and now it goes like stink again !

I think all 172s have a lumpy idle! I know mine does and its been in on several occasions for them to look at it!

Just take it as standard equipment!

The worst thing renault can say is "We dont know what the fault is".



Good luck getting it fixed. but as paul says the 172 does come with a lumpy idle cause of the wild cams.
