Long beep when alarming car?

When I lock my car with the key fob it does a long continuous beep for approximately 1 minute, then goes off, anyone had the same thing happen to them, and if so how do you go about fixing it? Cheers 172 cup btw

That beep is to tell you something is open. Check all the doors and boot and finally, as alex mentioned, check the bonnet switch.

it just means the alarm isn't set, just unlock and lock again and job done

As mentioned, make sure everything is closed properly, and don't press the lock button straight after closing the door, give it one or two seconds

All the doors, boot and bonnet are definitely shut, what do you mean by the bonnet pin switch? The bit the bonnet pushes down? That springs up when you open it? Cheers oh and it's not from locking it to quickly cheers

Other key should arrive tomorrow I should think, see if it does it with that one also
