Long drives in your RS Clio

  05 182 clio.ktm duke
I have driven mine to Austria twice and also to Italy once. Each time covering about 2500 miles there and back. On 1 time I drove non stop from my house down to Dover ferry port, then Calais ferry port to St Wolfgang in Austria (980 miles) in 20 hours. I am 6"2' and find the clio is brilliant for long distance touring and would always take the clio instead of my wifes Mercedes clk 320. On the return journey I always seem to come home via the Nurburgring.

I used to do Nottingham to Bournemouth non stop all the time in my 1.2 clio, was absolutely fine, was lightly loaded most of the time but it st at 90 with the best of them, small cars have come on along way.
I haven't been very far in the 172 but I do around 160 miles a week just going to work and back in it.

Jesus. I'm six zero and I struggle with the driving position. God knows how you manage TBH :dead:

Makes my right heel ache like f**k after a bit. Sat too upright.
Seat all the way back and occasionally I miss third because I have to lean forward to engage it. :(

All is forgotten when you're having a play though. The seating position becomes largely irrelevant imho. Besides.... I'd never buy one to munch miles.... 40k in 5.5 years!

Not only that but 80mph is approaching 4krpm in 5th gear and it's a bit noisy with an aftermarket exhaust tbh.
