I
've been after a change for a while, I've tested the water with a few and really fancy myself a 182 trophy. Can anyone shed any light on the linked one? I thought it might have been a bit cheap, and obviously I'll ask about belts and FSH as well.

Any other tips, advice? It is a hell of a drive for me, so i wouldnt be rushing anything and this is by no means 'the one' (that would be stupid)

Cheers,

Laurence.

Ring them and ask what number it is. ClioTrophy.net has an owners' log and that can reveal some interesting history if it is has been put on there.
Is this Evans Halshaw an official Renault franchise? If so, this is rather cheap for the mileage!
The Nurburgring sticker puts me off as does the absence of the front splitter but not the end of the world I guess.
After asking some questions re the history (assuming it has it, doesn't specify), you'd need to see it really.

Yeah, I've been hanging around on ctrophy.net for a while and the evans halshaw dealer is a vauxhall specialist. I guess, there wont be a car like this that hasn't been 'driven' either way. I would have probably bought a carbon splitter too? They said its got a full service history, they're going to service the dampers and change the belts (good or bad?) and there is a slight scratch on one of the recaros and slight curbing on the left front. 3 owners before. Oh its #182!

Not sure if you can access the register. It's on there for a bit. I'll PM you. Nothing major.

I was just going to let you know that the first owner was a "Kathy" and did a lot of circuit work straight after the car was bought (Brands, Snetterton, Rockingham).
The second owner, on registering it, posted the comment "Grrrrr" (presumably on learning a bit about its previous life)!

Might have got off lucky then if its been used on track previously :D

Why would you worry about a 'hot hatch' being used on a track !?

No one buys an RS to polish and take taxi's to Asda in, just incase the RS gets dusty or wears the tyres out...

:S

Sign up, find a nice one on here that has probably been cared for.

Good luck !

  Mint 1*2's for sale-
I had a trophy this week-
was for sale for 2 days....

I am getting another one in a couple of weeks hopefully-
That evans halshaw one must have been cheap for a reason its not a 5k car on those miles-

SH must have been dicey-

watch it reappear on AT with a trader...

Yeah they pied it off cause it was gonna cost too much to put right? I guess through the dampers and the belts etc. im just gonna keep looking, definitely out for a trophy. and im under no impression that they'd have been an old ladies run to the shops and back, but yeah, that one went to auction!!

Cheers for all the help again!! :)
