Looking for a flipout touch screen moitor

I'm looking for a good motorised monitor for in my GT looking to spend about £500-£600 but don't know what to buy

The Alpine IVA-D106R is on offer @ Car Audio Direct for only £480. That will give you plenty of pennies left over to buy iPod adaptor leads, steering wheel controls and the VDI

no doubt there will be plenty of post chrimbo sales on! im awaiting the sales for an amp and new speakers after ive just bought an Alpine CDA-117Ri and VDI/steeringwheel control adaptor. Oh ye, brace yourself if you go for the adaptor that does both!!! what clio are you getting?

Have the D106R in the C4 with the solid state Satnav addon, imprint processor (actually a separate processor with this headunit, amps plug into the processor if you buy it) and 400BT Bluetooth addon. C4 has loads of room in the dash so literally all the addon boxes are behind or on top of the headunit.

All works very well together, no complaints at all.

If you want to see any videos of anything demonstrated give me a shout can sort some out for you. Can even point you to places so you can do custom background images. Uses an odd file format so have to play around a bit.

Do like the head unit though. I spend a lot of time waiting around for people, with appointments etc. So being able to watch a tv episode or film while waiting is brilliant.

what i mean by adaptors in the interface cable required to go between an aftermarket hu and the renault steering wheel controller, in addition the current vehicle interface display can be hooked up to some aftermarket hu's. the cable to do both for my car cost 86 pounds!

Adapters you need are:

A- Aerial. Should be about a tenner.

B OPTIONAL- if you want the steering wheel controls to work you need the Can-Bus adapter that is about £100.

play songs threw iphone(dont need to control what song threw the radio.just select songs on the phone)


all i have is
2 pioneer speakers at 100W
2 pioneer speakers at 120W

not going to have any amp or anything else in the car.

thats a very tough challenge 172lover. can i ask why you want to go touch screen? the only units i can find are ripspeed and i dont know if they link to steering wheel controls nor the quality of the unit! Si

Ripspeed headunits are s**t. Do not ever spend your money on one.

You won't get a decent touchscreen HU for that money mate. You need £350 / £400 +

wouldn't waste my money on a no name brand one.
touch screens are the new thing so was just looking for one.
might look on ebay.com for some from USA

Take into account that usa models have different frequencies for the radio, and won't pick up all of our stations. If your not into radio then it's no biggy!
