Hi all. I own an 08 mk3 clio 197, I’m not the best with mechanics so you may have to bear with if I’m a bit slow or use the wrong terminology but any help is much appreciated.
Started getting play in the drivers side wheel, the bolt that comes up off the track rod end through the swivel housing had come loose, tightened it up as much as I can but to no avail, narrowed it down to the fact that there is a washer missing between the ball joint and swivel housing, there is one on the offside wheel that I can see, however I can’t take the offside apart as it is looking a bit worse for wear and I fear I may open up a can of worms if I force it after the trouble I’m having with the drivers side so I can’t get the washer in my hands to know what I’m looking for exactly.
All the pictures of track rod ends I’ve seen for sale don’t seem to have any washers with it so my question is do they come with it? Can I get that washer as a specific part or do I need to buy a whole new swivel housing for just the washer?
If anyone has done this job before or had a link to the part I need or could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful
