hi ppl i have just got myself a custom cat back and was thinking of de-cating it and puting a 182 manifold in it just wondering if any1 has done this and has it made a difference to the car. oh i hav a 172 03 plate thanks people

When I put my decat on I got the occasional pop from it. Saying that though I can get mine to pop with just the cat back fitted.

My mate had a 1.2 that popped LOL Pretty sure you can get a 172 to do it easy

When I have the decat on? Very loud lol. So loud is was impossible to live with hence why I don't have it fitted most of the time.

iam thinking maybe a sports cat and a 182 manifold

Pretty expensive route to take though for little gains. £200+ for a 2nd hand manifold, £200/£250 for the sports cat + fitting (unless you do it yourself).
