Looking to Buy 182?

Hi everybody been a member on here for a while now as was looking to purchase a 182 before.

I currently own a Cosmic Grey EP3 Civic Type R on a 54 plate and am going to sell up as have many other priorities at moment so want something a bit cheaper.

I have been and looked at a Liquid Yellow 182 this Morning with view to part ex but want to sell mine private as can get more money as he only offered me £7000 for mine which i believe and know its worth more.

The LY 182 i looked at was £6495 with 79k on clock but would come with 12 Month MOT. The downside is that its not been that well looked after bonnet needs painting as someone left birdcrap on it too long and its f**ked the paintwork on it. Another thing is that the climate control doesnt work as you can turn the fan up and down but cant adjust temperature as it doesnt display it.
Also it has been repossed do's this mean its a cat d?

Is this 182 worth as much as it is?

Id be thinking more like £5500 as gotta have the Climate Control sorted and have the Bonnet painted plus it is a bit High Mileage for a 2005 car.

Only plus point is it has a Private plate i could sell on

My 182 was pretty much mint when i got it 2 month ago, just had a small abs problem that cost £40 to fix at a garage. With 85k on the clock and full MOT I only paid £3.9k, I know LY demands a premium but not that much.

Seems alot for a car thats on 79k that hasnt been looked after!

If its in a state (and on that milage) i would say closer to 5.5k than 6.5k.

Sounds like i did the right thing to walk away.

I would like LY one but the whole reason im selling the Civic is too raise a bit of cash as going on Holiday later this year which is due to set me back about £3000 so i think im gonna stay clear of LY as they due seem to hold their price.

Dont really wanna spend anymore than £5500 on one

I'd say 5k max for the heap, there are ones about that are miles better.

Put it this way mate i had mine up about 6 months back which had been garaged for four years since i started owning it (only used as a weekend driver if that), was (is) spotless and had less than 30k on the clock and was also fully serviced up to date with the cambelt replaced a few months prior and i had no 'serious' enquiries even at just over 7k! Going by the other thats been on here for months too i doubt this bloke stands much chance of shifting one on 79k for 6.5k even if it was spotless!

When i was looking at PX'ing mine for a 200 Renault were offering 6.2k but after i pushed it got them to go 6.5k so that car is well over priced imo.

Agreed, i think £6500 is too much for it.

Mine is the one in the For Sale section, and iv lowered the price to £7000 now, always the way really, as 6 months ago LY's were demanding a big premium, they still seem to hold their money, just not quite as much as they did

I know Danny, i know it high priced, but it is a very nice one, as said 6 months ago i could have sold it 10 times over lol
