Renault took it upon themselves to pop Loony's car through their mechanical car wash during some warranty work.
I saw the car the previous day in direct sunlight and it looked good. One pass through the swirlomatic gave use these lovely lines.......
I was surprised how deep the swirls were as on the bonnet it took 2 passes of the rotary @ 2000rpm:doublesho and ssr2.5 to clear!
Half and half shot
Fortunatly i'm finding the RS clio paint to be quite thick at 150 microns plus. The above dropped it by an average of about about 6-7 microns.
Full process was
wash: QEW
clay: didn't need it
Polish: Me hanging off the rotary and 'Loony' removing the holograms with the pc and speed glaze. Cyclo and ssr2 on the plastic painted parts.
Seal: OCW
Wax Nattys blue
The paintwork alone took 10 hours between us so the wheels and arches have beeen left for another day:lol:
