loose gearlever

Gearlever is quite wobbly, can select all gears ok but there seems to be more play that there should be. Can this be fixed from in the car or do I need to drop the complete lever assembly out?

Sounds like the dog bone needs replacing or atleast the bushes. Most power flex the bushes or the evol mount, same sort of thing.

If you haven't got the above anyway it's worth doing anyway mate

There is not much movement in the gear lever during acceleration / deceleration which I thought would be an indication of the worn dog bone, What I have is more of a sloppy lever - Is this what the Yanoo stiff shift sorts out?

I would say the bushes are goosed

Mine was really loose and when underneath I noticed the selector shaft was about an inch down the rod. I adjusted it back up to the bolt and now it's much better. Might be worth a look?

It most likely will be wear and tear, I fitted the yanoo kit with brass bushes (fast road kit 1) and it feels so much better and precise, its tight once fitted but loosens up after a few miles, think it was around £50/60 quid or so
