Loosing coolant

whats the usual cause, my clio seems to be loosing alot of coolant recently, have to keep topping it up!! just gave it a full oil change and filter change that it needed, topped up the coolant again...

i know my timing belt needs doing as i have gone past 70k which is what it needs to be done at, would this be causing it? i get like a ticking noise from the engine too which i think may be timing belt related?

Check your rad hoses and under the bottom

Best thing to do is to park the car up and leave paper or material under the car...this will show any leaks/dripping coming from underneath.

If that doesn't show anything up it may be worth investigating the head gasket

Most likely your water pumps carked it, usually go around the time the cambelts due.

If you can see the area, look for little 'crystals' below the pump/belt area
