i have been waiting for something for awhile now (12 days). the seller has agreed to send me a new one and said he will take up the claim with royal mail. this is a copy and paste of what he said:

Dear s.norris89,

Well it look like it is missing, i have called royal mail but they want me to wait untill 15days. well i will have to send you another on on monday ok... please can you send me your telephone number so i can include it in the claim form. they might have to call you to confirm if you have received it or not. in the mean time please send me yout phone number so i can add it to claim form many thanks thanks.

should i give him my phone number? does he need it?
what i was thinking is that even if i do give him my phone number its not like he can do anything with it (eg id fraud).
thoughts please
thanks guys

i sent something to someone last month on ebay, sent recorded and it got lost.

i had to put a claim into the royal mail and they did not need or ask for the sellers phone number.
