Lost it!

Well I was taught a very valuble lesson in driving today! Valvers and grit dont mix. I lost control of my new pride and joy after hitting some grit on the road, after fishtailing for a bit the backend finally let go and i ended up skidding sideways down the middle of the dual carraigeway for 100 yards or so. Luckily for me the two cars that where behind me had slowed down to wait for the outcome and all I had to do was start the car up and drive off.

I think its the most shook up I have been in my life.

1 glad youre ok

2 glad everyone else ok

3 glad you still have your car

4 EXPERIENCE IS A MASTERPIECE

i hit ice or something and skid all over a road in the town in my old car (97 1.4RT) just gained control a split sec before a 40ft lorry came around the corner. Had to pull over and I realised it wasnt the skid that freaked me out

ive always wondered why its called a near miss! if you nearly miss, then surely you hit it? should be a near hit surely! lol

oh, and glad you ok!

I had a similar situation in my first valver, back tyres were pretty bald, and i was on a greasy roundabout tryin some lift off oversteer. Fish tailed down the road in about 4 different directions, proper sideways. Really sh*t me up and ive never tried it since!
