Lost Key! So What Next?

  Inferno 182
well story is last night got home from footie training locked car and went into the house ,then a hour later when going out my keys have vanished, after turning my house upside looked in the street and no sign, have looked again this morning and been to the police but none handed and anyone finding them would suss what car they are for especially with ClioSport key ring on them
tonight the car is jammed between my neighbours car and my van so do i tell my insurance who could ask for my both keys if it was ever stolen,or does anyone know the cost of havin new ignition and locks?
Sorry about long story:(

New ignition barel and locks arn't that much second hand £60 maybe then just got to change them no huge pain.
Then you'd need two metal keys you might get two with the locks if not £12 from Renault if you know the car registration the kesy are from or £8 for abland any any kety cutter can cut it to be like the other

The plastic bit which has the important electrics well you need to swop the one you have to the new set of key no huge issuen then £80 for anew one and when they program it at Renault etc get them to delete the other key on the system.

If anyone does try to open your car the metal key bit will be different and the button won't open the doors etc or tun the imobiliser off.

ok cheers so without sounding thick could i just get a new key cut and then have them reprogrammed by renault then they wouldn't be able to start it and think the alarm would go off if they didnt use the key blipper to unlock

YEp you could.
They could always use there key to open your car though without needing to break the window but the alarm would go off.
