getting a loud clunk when changing gear and sometimes pulling away, pretty much when a lot of torque is put through the drive train. I'm only confused as I just had all new mounts fitted by Renault themselves.

Yeah I am on about engine and gearbox mounts. Had them all done at the Renault stealers when they did the cambelt

Yeh they most likely haven't got the new ones positioned correctly which is causing it to knock against something! oOr they forgot to tighten something back up.

Any clunk through the gearbox indicates something is amiss, but probably just a part knocking.

If I am honest with myself its under normal driving conditions, but when your giving it a little welly when changing gear there is a.bang through the drivetrain.

LOL at fat thumbs.

Get it straight back to Renault and inspected under warranty.

My bet is they need to undo engine mount, pull engine forward, tighten up mount.
